In July 2024, I had an opportunity to work as an art assistant and prop maker for a UK part of the project "Kintsugi". This section of the film was shot in Dartmoore National Park in Devon that was chosen to simulate an appearance of the far-flung fields for the samurai battlefield.
I was included in designing and making of the three battle flags - two for the rival samurais (sun and moon) and one combining the two to demonstrate the union and reconciliation between the two samurais (the eclipse).
Additionally, I've worked on recreating a safe copy of the katana for the fight scenes made of foam material and handmaking a clay eclipse necklace for the character of a grandfather of the samurais.
